$1 MILLION KLUGE PRIZE FOR LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN THE STUDY OF HUMANITY BESTOWED BY LIBRARY OF CONGRESS

In a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress’ Thomas Jefferson Building, Peter Robert Lamont Brown and Romila Thapar today were awarded the 2008 Kluge Prize for lifetime achievement in the study of humanity. They are the sixth and seventh recipients since the Prize’s 2003 inception.
