Leonard Downie, Jr. Wins 2008 Benjamin Bradlee Editor of the Year Award

Washington, D.C. – The National Press Foundation announced today that it will present the Benjamin C. Bradlee Award for Editor of the Year to Leonard Downie, Jr., former Executive Editor of The Washington Post.

The award will be presented at NPF’s 26th annual awards dinner, February 10, 2009, at the Hilton Washington Hotel.

ABC News Anchor Charles Gibson Selected for 2008 Sol Taishoff Award

The National Press Foundation announced today that it will award the 2008 Sol Taishoff Award for Distinguished Contributions to Broadcast Journalism to Charles Gibson, anchor of ABC NewsWorld News with Charles Gibson.”

The award will be presented at NPF’s 26th annual awards dinner, taking place February 10, 2009 at the Hilton Washington Hotel.
